A-A Dialogue is introduced in the policy document Japan’s Education Cooperation Policy 2011-2015 by the Government of Japan


The Japanese Prime Minister gave a speech on the Millennium Development Goals at the High-level Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations on 22 September, 2010. He emphasized Japan remained committed to contributing to the attainment of the internationally agreed goals of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the Education for All (EFA) goals by 2015. He suggested the basic education support model ‘School for All'. On the day, the Government of Japan published the policy document: Japan's Education Cooperation Policy 2011-2015. In the document, ‘Africa-Asia University Dialogue for Educational Development (A-A Dialogue)' is introduced as a way of supporting the higher education network in addressing a self-reliant approach in educational development.
