『EUROLAT is an information network of earth scientists
and laboratories working on Earth surface processes involving
chemical weathering. It was founded in 1984. Lateritic weathering
and tropical environments involve all geophysical and geochemical
processes occuring at the interfaces atmosphere - biosphere -
hydrosphere - lithosphere and include surficial mineral deposits,
geochemical prospection, soil and clay mineral formation, land
erosion, hydrology and paleoclimatology. In order to promote
scientific communication EUROLAT organizes annual conferences
and summer schools, and - since April '94 - runs this www-server
on the Internet to provide news.』
