Climate
Late November when VNN 2006 will be held corresponds to the end of fall in Hiroshima. The temperature is a little bit low (down to 7ºC) in the morning and evening. The average temperature is around 12ºC in late November. It is the season you appreciate the beautiful foliage of trees, turning red and yellow.

Currency
The monetary unit is the Japanese Yen (JY), one US dollar currently being equivalent to approximately JY 115 (subject to change). It is desirable to exchange foreign currencies to Japanese Yen at international airports in Osaka (Kansai), Tokyo (Narita) or Fukuoka, when you arrive in Japan.

Most kinds of foreign currencies can be exchanged to Japanese Yen at banks in Hiroshima that open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm from Monday to Friday.

Notes are in denominations of JY 10000, 5000, 2000 and 1000. Coins are in denominations of JY 500, 100, 50, 10, 5 and 1.

You can withdraw Japanese Yen using a credit card at the ATM (see the Map below!). This is the only ATM that accepts credit cards around the Conference Center and Hotels.
