  • 研究内容:都市、交通、環境、観光に関する様々な問題を取り上げ、先進国と途上国の両方をフィールドに、学術的なアプローチに基づき、それぞれの問題の解決に 寄与する方法論(調査、モデリング、政策評価や計画)の開発や政策評価・提言への応用に関する研究を行っている。教育については、主に「地域・都市工学」 や「観光政策」などを担当している

都市、交通、環境・エネルギー、観光などに関する研究テーマを幅広く取り上げ、先進国と途上国の両方をフィールドに、それぞれのテーマに関する方法論(調査、モデリング、政策評価や計画)の開発や政策評価・提言への応用について、学際的な視点に立った先端的な研究だけではなく、政策志向的かつ実践的な研究も行ってきている。2014年9月現在、国内外で水準の高い雑誌や国際学会論文集にて306編の査読付き論文(SCI・SSCI論文:43編;英文249編; 著書分担執筆16編)、英文著書1冊、和文著書分担執筆16編)、ほかの論文288編(英文:120編)を発表し、最優秀論文賞(8回)・優秀論文賞(3回)を11回受賞した。主な研究内容は、交通安全、交通行動を含む市民生活行動学の構築による部門横断型まちづくり政策立案方法論、統合型都市交通モデル、途上国を含む持続可能な発展と都市・交通、統合型観光行動モデルによる観光政策意思決定方法論などである。
