Nakajima-Honmachi District
It is now a part of Peace Memorial Park after World War Ⅱ.
This district was given birth in about 1600 A.D. as a part
of "Jokamachi"(castle town of feudalism) and has a trap-bending
for the sake of guard. After Meiji Restauration in 1868 this
district has become the center of urban life surrounded by
cinema, shopping center and a lot of traditional and modern
shops, which were sometimes constructed in remarkable western
style.
