Research Focus 1. Research on regenerative medicine
Study how multipotent stem cells produce bone, cartilage, muscle, nerve, and blood through experiments of cultured cells and animals (include ES cells and iPS cells).

2. Research on the rehabilitation for central nervous system disorder
Examine the effect of rehabilitation for patients with brain functional disorder by using brain map, such as MEG (magnetoencephalograohy), NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy), and fMRI (include development of mobile suit robot).

3. Prove on the mechanism on muscle and bone atorophy caused by spaceflight
Study muscle and bone atrophy caused by microgravity and apply the results to measures for disuse syndrome, which exists in clinical medicine.

4. Bio-reaction to physical stimuli on cellular level
Analyze the effect of gravity, magnetic field, electric stimuli, and ultrasound by experiments of cultured cells, animals, and living body.
