About the Workshop

MAPLL organization committee proudly announce that an international workshop on Mental Architecture for Processing and Learning of Language 2013 (MAPLL 2013) is to be held at Kwansei Gakuin University Osaka Umeda Satellite Campus on August 3 and 4 in 2013.

The MAPLL Workshop was first launched in 2007 at Hiroshima University following a series of successful meetings of Japanese Sentence Processing Workshop held by devoted psycholinguistics researchers in Japan. It has been an important forum for presenting new results and exchanging novel ideas that bear on sentence processing, first and second langauge acquisition, computational modeling of language learning, and neurophysiology of language. It was held at Onikobe Hotel (hosted by Tohoku University) in 2008, at Kyushu University in 2009, at Japan Society for the Promotion of Machine Industry Building (hosted by Tokyo Metropolitan University) in 2010, at Hiroshima University in 2011, and at Yamagata University in 2012.
