For the purpose of the appropriate materials selection in mechanical design and the development of advanced materials processing technology, inelastic behaviour of metals, polymers and their composites is investigated on the basis of the solid mechanics and the materials science. Inelastic constitutive modeling, materials' properties identification, stress/strain analysis of some plastic deformation processings and optimization of some metal forming processes are mainly being studied with computational as well as experimental methods.
