Cretaceous investigation @Toyama
(May 12-17, 2013)

For Tsukiji-san's bachelor thesis research, we conducted a survey of the Cretaceous Tetori Group, which is distributed in Toyama. First, we were given a tour of the Toyama City Science Museum by Curator Dr. Fujita, an alumnus of our department, and Kuroshima-san. Kuroshima-san later became a student in the Shiraishi Lab.
Investigating the geology around Japan's largest dinosaur footprint outcrop.
During the investigation, a suspicious protrusion was discovered. When it was dug up, it turned out to be a dinosaur footprint.
During the survey, we often encountered Japanese serows. We were provided with accommodation and meals at Sansai Kurokawa.
