| Prof. Arp, my supervisor during my time in Germany, visited Hiroshima to participate in a symposium organized by my department. During the symposium, we ate okonomiyaki, and then visited Mt. Sambe with Dr. Hein of the US Geological Survey. | |

| Afterwards, we observed Akiyoshidai and paleosols in the Kanmon Group in Yamaguchi. | |

| At the inn, we received comments on Nakamura-san's research. Finally, we went sightseeing in Miyajima. | |
