| This year's Carbonate Colloquium was hosted by the Shiraishi Lab and held in Miyajima. Participants came from as far north as Hokkaido and as far south as Okinawa. | |

| We had a BBQ on the first night. Sorry it was dark and cold. We held the evening session outdoors. | |

| On the second night, we had bisyu-nabe and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. | |

| A poster session was held at the dinner venue, and the posters seemed to be the subject of lively discussion. | |
 |
 |
| The student presentation awards went to Miyajima-san (Kyoto Univ.) in first place, Komagoe-san (Hokkaido Univ.) in second place, and Owari-san (Chiba Univ.) in third place. Congratulations! | |
