| As in previous years, this year's promotion thesis was held around Otawara Nature House in Shunan City. First, Prof. Hayasaka gave an overview of the rocks in the area. Afterwards, the students split into groups to conduct geological surveys. | |

| It is located deep in the mountains with only a few houses nearby. Living in a camp-like setting seems to have strengthened the sense of community. | |
