| This year's Carbonate Colloquium was held in Kochi. We arrived a little early, so we observed Katsurahama beach. Then, we conducted a field trip to Shirakidani Mine. | |

| The venue was a city facility that was reserved exclusively for the event. Shiraishi, Sato, and Einaga gave presentations. | |

| Afterward, we moved to Kochi Core Center for a tour of the core. | |

| We observed the stored legacy cores. We found many interesting things, including belemnites, glauconite, and phosphate stromatolites. Thank you to everyone at Kochi Univ. for organizing this event. | |
