Born 1964 in Kobe, Japan; Study of Protestant Theology at Kwansei Gakuin University (Nishinomiya, Japan), B.Th. (1987) & M.Th. (1989); Pastor in Kôshien-Futaba Church in Nishinomiya (1989-91); Doctoral Studies at Kwansei Gakuin University (1989-91) & University of Berne (Switzerland, 1991-95), Doctor of Theology (Dr. theol.) in Berne (1995); Lecturer of German at Himeji Dokkyo University (Himeji, Japan) (1996-97); Assistant Professor/Chaplain, School of Business Administration, Kwansei Gakuin University (1997-2001); Associate Professor/Chaplain (2001-07). Visiting Scholar: Berne (1999-2000) & Zurich (2004-05). Since April 2007 Professor of Religious Studies (New Testament) at Hiroshima University.
