Born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Graduated Kyoto University. After working as Team Leader of National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS), Project Manager for United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effecs of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR), Visiting Scientist of NASA Johnson Space Center, etc., was assigned to the current position on 1st October 2015.
