Our lab is recruiting students for master and doctoral\u00a0courses.\u00a0In our lab, English is a formal language (more than 2\/3 of our students are international students), in addition to another formal language: Japanese.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Currently, we are especially calling for the following research on mobilities and urban policy in the context of\u00a0urban, transportation, environment and energy, and tourism issues from an interdisciplinary perspective, but not limited to,\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">(1)\u00a0Mobilities<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Integrated behavioral studies: migration, travel, driving, residential, energy consumption, health, and tourism behaviors, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Mobilities of different population groups (young people, the elderly, women, and children, talent workers, etc.) and QOL<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">(2) Urban policy<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Life-oriented policies for local city revitalization<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">How will smartphone apps change people\u2019s lives?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Policies encouraging behavioral change: Energy-saving, health, safety<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Climate changes adaptive urban planning<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Culture-centered urban management and city image formation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Effective use of regional resources for regional revitalization, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Scholarship information for doctoral candidates:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Every year, there are a number of available scholarships, mainly <u>MEXT scholarships<\/u> (special course, university recommendation, embassy recommendation, etc.).<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #444444; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Students are also welcome to apply for other scholarships, for example,\u00a0<u>Chinese Government Graduate Student Overseas Study Program operated by CSC<\/u>, <u>Vietnam government&#8217;s 911 Program<\/u>, and other governments&#8217; scholarships (e.g., Indonesia).
