In 1994, "1st Japanese-German Meeting on Urban Climatology" was held for discussing the urban planning techniques to improve the urban climate and sharing the knowledge. In 2012, "6th Japanese-German Meeting on Urban Climatology" will be held in Hiroshima by Japan side. ("6th Japanese-German Meeting on Urban Climatology" has been postponed to 2012 because of disaster in Japan.)
