Liquid and amorphous semiconductor Laboratory

Research Subjects
Structural and electronic properties in metals and semiconductors with disordered structures are experimentally studied. Local structure and atomic dynamics in liquid metals and amorphous semiconductors are investigated using synchrotron radiation at SPring-8 in Japan. Reverse Monte Carlo modeling is a useful tool to reconstract atomic configuration from experimentally obtained structure factors.
Furrhter, liquid-liquid phase transition is studied for water-alchohol mixtures.
