Tao Feng is a full professor of Urban and Data Science Lab, Hiroshima University. His research interests include decision making analysis in urban environment, dynamic models, behavior change and data-driven technology in urban and transportation planning. He has been an associate professor, an assistant professor and a postdoc researcher in Eindhoven University of Technology during 2008-2021. He obtained his PhD in engineering from Hiroshima University.

My research focuses on using machine learning to predict both the departure and arrival delays of flights. Additionally, I am analyzing how these delays propagate and impact the broader air traffic network, aiming to improve the efficiency and reliability of air travel. This area of study is fascinating to me, as it combines my passion for data science with real-world applications in transportation and logistics.
In terms of my personal interests, I am a big fan of basketball and billiards, which I find both relaxing and challenging. I also play guitar, and whenever I have the chance, I enjoy traveling to new places and capturing the beauty of different landscapes through photography. Fitness is also an essential part of my routine, helping me stay balanced and energized.I’m very glad to be part of this team and look forward to getting to know everyone better.
