Tao FENG
Tao Feng is a full professor of Urban and Data Science Lab, Hiroshima University. His research interests include decision making analysis in urban environment, dynamic models, behavior change and data-driven technology in urban and transportation planning. He has been an associate professor, an assistant professor and a postdoc researcher in Eindhoven University of Technology during 2008-2021. He obtained his PhD in engineering from Hiroshima University.
Shuangjin LI
Dr.Shuangjin Li is an Assistant Professor in Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University. Her research now focuses on healthy city and urban spatial computing and simulation. She has experience working as a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She obtained her PhD in engineering from Hiroshima University.
Mengxia LI
Mengxia LI is a doctoral candidate in the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering Program at Hiroshima University. She holds an B.Eng. in Logistics Engineering and a M.S. in Traffic and Transportation Engineering in Kunming University of Technology. In 2022, Mengxia joined the Urban and Data Science Lab as a PhD candidate, supervised by Prof. Tao FENG. Her research interests include urban mobilities and analytics, individuals’ choice modelling in car sharing and travel surveys. Currently, she focuses on analyzing and modelling peer-to-peer car sharing behavior.
Jishi WU
Jishi Wu received his B.Eng. degree in Civil Engineering and his master’s degree in Traffic and Transportation Engineering from Changsha University of Science and Technology and Kunming University of Science and Technology China, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. He joined the Collaborative Innovation Centre for Integrated Transport Studies of Dalian Maritime University China as a Ph.D. candidate in 2018. In spring 2022, Jishi Wu joined the Urban and Data Science Lab as a Ph.D. candidate, supervised by Prof. Tao Feng (from Urban and Data Science Lab, Hiroshima University). His research interests include spatial-temporal data mining, data fusion techniques, built environment analysis, traveling behavior, and sustainable mobility.
Ying ZHAO
Ying ZHAO is a Ph.D. candidate in the Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University. She obtained her BS in Traffic Engineering from Xi'an University of Architecture & Technology, MS in Transportation Engineering from Shenzhen University. Before joining Hiroshima University, she worked as an assistant professor at Shaanxi College of Communications Technology. Her research interests include travel behavior analysis, transport system optimization, urban air mobility, and mobility as a service.
Meiqin ZHANG
Zhang Meiqin is a Ph.D. candidate at the Urban and Data Science Lab, Hiroshima University. She earned her Master's degree from Kyoto University, Japan in 2015. She worked as a design assistant at a Japanese design company from 2016 to 2019, and then served as a teacher at Guangdong Environmental Protection Engineering Vocational College in Guangzhou from 2019 to 2022. Her research interests encompass the Built Environment, New Community Redevelopment, Urban Air Mobility.
Mingxi NIE
Mingxi Nie is a Ph.D. candidate in Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University from 2023, supervised by Prof. Tao Feng.
He holds a B.F.A in Environmental design and a M.LA in Landscape Architecture. He worked as a Research Assistant in South China University of Technology during 2021-2022. His research interests include design and evaluation in built environment, and people travel behaviour.

Xin DOU is a Ph.D. candidate of Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University. He received B.S degree in Marine Engineering (2019) and M.S degree in Transportation Engineering (2022) form Wuhan university of technology, respectively. His research interests include choice behavior analysis and modeling in urban environment.
Lan AI
Lan Ai is a Ph.D. candidate in Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University from 2022, supervised by Prof. Tao Feng. She holds a B.Eng. in Urban Planning at Shenyang Architectural University in 2015 and an M.A. in Landscape Architecture Studies at Newcastle University in 2018. From 2019 to 2021, she worked as a designer in both the landscape and urban planning industry, such as Atkins and DDON Landscape. Lan’s research interests focus on the built environment, lying at the intersection of active living, active mobility, and the application of virtual reality (VR) techniques.
Zhongwei LUO
Zhongwei LUO is a Ph.D. candidate of Urban and Data Science Lab, Hiroshima University. He obtained her B.Eng. degree in Automation from Wuhan University of Technology in 2021 and M.Eng. degree from Hiroshima University in 2023. His research interests include Network Optimization, Data Mining, Multi-Agent Behavioral Modeling and Numerical Simulation, Reinforcement Learning, and Other Intelligent Algorithms.
Ying LIU
Ying Liu joined the Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University as a research student in April 2023. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Traffic Engineering from Tianjin Chengjian University in 2017 and a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering from Beijing Union University in 2022. From 2022 to 2023, he worked as a teacher at Shijiazhuang Railway Technical College. His research mainly focuses on smart cities and the application of machine learning in transportation.
