Shuangjin LI
Dr.Shuangjin Li is an Assistant Professor in Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University. Her research now focuses on healthy city and urban spatial computing and simulation. She has experience working as a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She obtained her PhD in engineering from Hiroshima University.
Mengxia LI
Mengxia LI is a doctoral candidate in the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering Program at Hiroshima University. She holds an B.Eng. in Logistics Engineering and a M.S. in Traffic and Transportation Engineering in Kunming University of Technology. In 2022, Mengxia joined the Urban and Data Science Lab as a PhD candidate, supervised by Prof. Tao FENG. Her research interests include urban mobilities and analytics, individuals’ choice modelling in car sharing and travel surveys. Currently, she focuses on analyzing and modelling peer-to-peer car sharing behavior.
Jishi WU
Jishi Wu received his B.Eng. degree in Civil Engineering and his master’s degree in Traffic and Transportation Engineering from Changsha University of Science and Technology and Kunming University of Science and Technology China, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. He joined the Collaborative Innovation Centre for Integrated Transport Studies of Dalian Maritime University China as a Ph.D. candidate in 2018. In spring 2022, Jishi Wu joined the Urban and Data Science Lab as a Ph.D. candidate, supervised by Prof. Tao Feng (from Urban and Data Science Lab, Hiroshima University). His research interests include spatial-temporal data mining, data fusion techniques, built environment analysis, traveling behavior, and sustainable mobility.
Jieyuan LAN
Jieyuan Lan is a doctoral candidate in the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering Program at Hiroshima University. She holds a B.Eng. in International Shipping Management from Jimei University and an M.S. in Traffic and Transportation Engineering from Dalian Maritime University. In October 2022, she joined the Urban and Data Science Lab as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Tao Feng. Her research interests span telework, urban planning, transportation, travel behavior, hybrid work culture, and remote working centers. Currently, her work focuses on analyzing and modeling individual workplace choices and mobility patterns in urban environments.
Xin DOU
Xin DOU is a Ph.D. candidate of Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University. He received B.S degree in Marine Engineering (2019) and M.S degree in Transportation Engineering (2022) form Wuhan university of technology, respectively. His research interests include choice behavior analysis and modeling in urban environment.

Francis SALAZAR
Francis Salazar is currently a Graduate Student in the Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University since 2022. He graduated from De La Salle University – Manila in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering. Since then, he has worked in the Philippine government under various development projects which has cultivated his interests in transportation planning, passenger behavior, and Transit Oriented Development (TOD).
Uzma KHAN
I am candidate in Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University since October, 2022 supervised by Professor Tao Feng. I received my Masters degree in English Literature and Linguistic from Pakistan.Besides, I also did MA Education in 2013. Since then, I have worked in education department and worked on various projects related to disaster in collaboration with different NGOs and government organizations. My research interests include disaster mitigation, climate change, flood and its impact on people in Pakistan, people's migration and adaptation strategies during floods.

I am a first-year student of Master Program in Hiroshima University. I am pursuing my research about smart building. I’m graduated in civil engineering from BUET, a renowned engineering university in Bangladesh and my fields of interest are environmental engineering, transportation engineering, sustainable development goals. I am a government service employee in my country. I like to hear song in my leisure and like to sing song also.
Kongkear SAO
Hi! This is Kongkear. I’m from Cambodia, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree at Hiroshima University, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering. My research interest is in transportation whether inland or waterway. Besides my academic life, I also love sports such as badminton, volleyball, cycling, and swimming.
Chao SUN
Chao SUN is a visiting doctoral student of Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University. He is also a Ph.D. candidate of Transportation Engineering at Southeast University. He received M.S degree in Transportation Engineering (2021) from Harbin Institute of Technology. His research interests include traffic carbon emission and transport geography.
Yan Zheng
Yan Zheng joined the Urban and Data Science Lab in Hiroshima University as a visiting doctor-course student in January 2024. He is pursuing his doctoral degree in Southeast University. His current research focuses on traffic flow prediction, urban transit planning and intelligent public transportation.
Qingqing Zhao
Qingqing Zhao joined the Urban and Data Science Lab in Hiroshima University as a visiting doctor-course student in December 2023. She is pursuing her doctoral degree in Beijing Jiaotong University. Her current research focuses on passenger flow control in urban rail transit.
Pengcheng XU
Pengcheng XU is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Traffic Information and Control at Chang’an University. In Dec. 2023, he joined the Urban and Data Science Lab of Hiroshima University as a visiting Ph.D. candidate, supervised by Prof. Tao FENG. His research interests include complex network modeling and analysis, passengers’ travel behaviors under extreme events, resilience of multi-modal public transport network, and interdependent urban infrastructure systems. In current, he focuses on the adaptability of travelers’ behaviors in urban transport system under disruptions.
Fakhourji Mohamad
Fakhourji Mohamad is a master’s Candidate in Urban and Data Science Lab at Hiroshima University from 2022.
He holds a B.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut. His research interests include smart vehicles (Connected vehicles), road network optimisation, and route choice analysis.
Xiuqi WANG
Xiuqi WANG is a doctoral candidate from Dalian Maritime University, China, currently serving as a visiting student at Hiroshima University since September 2024. My research focus lies in the field of multimodal transportation, with a recent emphasis on analyzing the spatio-temporal evolution of railway freight container transport development and its underlying impact mechanisms.

I am Yinjia Guo, a third-year Ph.D. student at Beijing University of Technology and currently a visiting researcher at Hiroshima University. My research primarily focuses on road traffic safety, traffic big data analysis, and vehicle-road collaboration. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports such as tennis, badminton, and table tennis.
