A paper entitled “Estimation of the cumulative cancer risk of female children attributable to radiocasesium in soil in an evacuation zone, prior to their return”  written by Prof. Yasuda was published in Journal of Radiation Research. This paper pointed out the difficulty in decision makings based on the effective dose and then demonstrated alternative procedures based on the health risk of the most radiologically-sensitive group (i.e., female children).
