Unraveling the Mysteries of Quantum Theory and Challenging its Potential Applications

This is an informal small workshop to discuss basic research for solving the mysteries of quantum theory and its possible applications. While quantum information science is attracting worldwide attention, the fundamentals of quantum theory, which is the foundation of quantum information science, have not been well studied. We aim to challenge unsolved issues in quantum theory through the study of quantum measurement, uncertainty relations, quantum coherence, quantum entanglement, context-dependence, etc., and to contribute from a fundamental aspect to subdivided fields in physics and quantum information science on which quantum theory is based. Through close professional exchange among researchers specializing in mathematics, mathematical physics, quantum optics, superconductivity physics, quantum gravity, semiconductor devices, etc., we will explore new aspects toward unraveling the mysteries of quantum theory.
