ZOOM meeting related to JSPS-CAS bilateral collaboration was done. We discussed our last plasma experiment in EAST.
Report of our project, JSPS (NIFS, Japan)-CAS(ASIPP, China) bilateral collaboration, was published in a Japanese journal, Journal of Plasma and Fusion Research.

On 17-18 February 2020, Workshop on JSPS-CAS Bilateral Joint Research Projects, “Control of wall recycling on metallic plasma facing materials in fusion reactor”, was held at University of Tsukuba.
3 presenters and an additional 3 audiences (total 6) from ASIPP jointed the WS by ZOOM meeting system.
Due to 2019-nCoV problem, many personal exchanges were canceled between Japan and China. Even in these difficult situations, we had useful discussions using network meetings.
A discussion about EAST experimental proposal, which is planned at end of Dec., was done on 2019 Nov. 12. Yaowei Yu, who is a sub-leader of a topical group for edge plasmas in EAST, joined the discussion. Nojiri-san attended by ZOOM meeting. (Ashikawa, Suzuki, Oishi, Huang, Nojiri, Yu)
Kunpei Nojiri gave a poster presentation, “Effects of strike point variation on divertor plasma in EAST superconducting tokamak” in the 36th JSPF annual meeting, in 2019 Nov.
Before the JSPF meeting, discussions to prepare his poster were done with Zhenhua HU on 2019 Nov.27. Nojiri-san attended by ZOOM meeting. (Ashikawa, Suzuki, Huang, Nojiri, Hu)
Zhenhua Hu (ASIPP) visited NIFS, to analyze for tungsten monoblock, which was used in EAST divertor target (2019 Nov. 25 – Dec.6).
Yuping Xu and Haodong Liu (ASIPP) visited NIFS, to analyze for low activate ferritic steel and tritium breeding blanket materials (2019 Nov. 5 – Nov.15). Yuping Xu gave a presentation in the 1st Chinese Fusion Energy Conference (Leshan, China, 2019 Nov.25-29) using these results during his stay in NIFS.
Fang Ding (ASIPP) had an invited talk about “Recent Progress of Tungsten PFCs at ASIPP and Plasma-Tungsten Interactions on EAST” in 28th International Toki Conference (ITC-28) on 2019 Nov.7.
DING also joined the LHD experiment for spectroscopy at the divertor region (2019 Nov.12-15).
Drs. Tetsutarou Oishi and Yasuko Kawamoto from NIFS visited ASIPP and discussed spectroscopic diagnostics for the edge plasmas in EAST and LHD with Drs. Fang Ding and Zhenhua Hu from Sep. 17 to Sep. 20. A vacuum port and spectrometers used for studies on plasma-surface interaction in EAST were also explained by F. Ding and Z. H. Hu.
Drs. Zhenhua Hu and Fang Ding visited NIFS and discussed this project related surface analyses and LHD experiments with Japanese members.
In the same week, the “2019 Post-CUP Post-CUP & Bilateral joint research Projects Workshop” was done in Nagoya, and 7 members of this project, Ohdachi, Ashikawa, Y. Suzuki, Oishi. Kawamoto, Z. H. Hu, and F. Ding presented.
