『ホスピタルアートの実践と評価　-作品『FOUR SEASONS TREE』を通して-』

　ホスピタルアートに関わる研究は,近年,様々なアプローチで取り組まれるようになってきた。現状ではまだそれが一般的になっているとは言いがたいが,先進的な病院における実践例も報告されている。これはアートによる癒しの効果が,より注目されるようになってきたことに他ならない。その背景には時代が進むにつれて,機能や効率だけではない医療のあり方が問われるようになってきたことがあり,超高齢化社会が進む現代日本にとっても喫緊の課題の一つである。
　この状況の中で,本論は筆者自身が制作者として取り組んだホスピタルアートの実践（屋外での立体作品制作）に対して,医師・薬剤師・看護師・事務職員・業者・患者等に依頼したアンケート調査の結果に基づき,作品の制作過程や意図と,その受容を検証し，そこから明らかになる成果と課題をもとに,病院におけるアートのあり方について,一つの考察を試みるものである。

　Studies on hospital art (as public art) have been addressed through various approaches in recent times. Although it is difficult to say that hospital art (as public art) has become common, various practical examples in advanced hospitals have been reported. This is because people are beginning to pay attention to the healing power of art. In this background, as time progresses, medical care that had been regarded only in terms of performance and effectiveness is being reconsidered. It may be one of the pressing issues in Japan, where aging is progressing rapidly.
In this circumstance, a questionnaire survey was performed with doctors, dentist, pharmaceutics, nurses, paramedic, clerks, vendors and patients (outpatients and attendants) regarding the practices of hospital art (monument “FOUR SEASONS TREE” as public art), which the author approached. Based upon the results of the survey, the intention and process of art works(monument “FOUR SEASONS TREE” as public art) and their acceptance were verified. Based upon the resultant outcome and tasks clarified by the questionnaire, a discussion was attempted concerning how art should be in hospitals or society.
