『パブリックアートのアノニマス』

パブリックアート,つまり公共の場におけるアートは,時代や社会の変化と共にその目的や意味合いが変化してきた。特に近年では,アートプロジェクトにおける“サイト・スペシフィック”や，“ホスピタル・アート”といった概念も広く知られるようになってきている。このような公共空間におけるアートのあり方を探る試みは,今日的なテーマの一つと言えるだろう。そこで本論文では，まず，著者本人が制作者・設計者として実際に試みてきた9つのプロジェクトを省みて, その成果と課題をまとめ，そこから「能動的な関わり」,「舞台装置としての役割」，「アノニマス」という３つの特徴を導き出した。そして社会に対するパブリックアートの存在価値を高める観点から、それを具現化するための一つの視点として，特に「アノニマス」な性質が重要かつ有効であることを，実践を通して主張したものである。

Public art has existed for a large number of unspecified people. The opinion is generally accepted. However, historically, the purpose or the meaning of the public art has been changing with a development of society. According to the preceding studies, It was an importance matter ,“Who products the work”or“What should be created in the space”etc. But I think that the most importance point is “What is necessity for the space”. Recently, Art project has become increasingly popular. In public space, we often see site-specific arts. It’s contemporary assignment to try to investigate how public art should be formed in a public space. So, I considered various possibilities on a public art though the 9 projects by myself. (a bronze statue (2), monuments for a kindergarten, an elementary school, a junior high school, an institute of history of medicine, a station square, an university hospital. (7)) I analyzed my works, and compiled the results of the survey. And I concluded that “Active involvement in society”,“Works as a stage set”,“Anonymous”were importance points. In this paper, I expressed my opinion on the matter what is the wealth in a public space.
