Finding of general problems in fisheries sectors
・Lack of living household particular small-scale fishers
・Destroy of fishing gears and fishing boats
・Damage of fish cage culture, shellfish culture and lost of fish stocking in cage
・Low volume of fish catches and low demands of fish products

Finding of general problems in marine tourism and service
・Lack to a few number of tourists
・Feasible increase of lost job people (hotel and resort may lay off staff)
・Time-consuming on facilities and accommodation construction
・Need Safety system for warning natural disaster and first aids

Initial Aids from Govt. Agencies in Ranong
Keep cleaning and preparing for construction house and facilities

Starting house construction for damage victims by navy force in Phangnga

Aids to fishing boats in Phangnga
Pulled up commercial fishing boat sank down under the sea and cracked down

National aid plan for rehabilitating fisheries sectors: Dept of Fisheries> subsidize 2,000 baht per head to damaged fishers for daily expense
・provide 20,000 baht per head to fishers owned fishing boat with length < 10m
・provide70,000 baht per head to fishers owned fishing boat with length > 10 m
・provide 150 baht per sq.m about 80 sq.m of aquacultures (12,000-20,000 baht)

Lesson gained: Fishers’ notification
