Participated in the 94th Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan, Yamagata, Japan.
We participated in the 94th Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan held at Yamagata University from September 7 to 9, 2023. I participated as an organizer and speaker in the symposium “New Concepts Emerging from New Technologies x Amphibians” on the 2nd, and gave a presentation introducing the expression profiling of each tissue and isoform identification using Nanopore sequencers, which is currently being conducted by the NBRP Genome Information Program. In addition, graduate student Bagus Priambodo gave a oral presentation about the results of genome scanning of adaptive genes using SNP data from the hot spring frog, Buergeria japonica. He presented the results of genome scanning of adaptive genes using SNP data of the hot spring frog, which is adapted to high temperature. In addition, I also served as the chairperson for the final day of the conference in room B. There were many very interesting and good research presentations at the conference, and we had a very productive time exchanging opinions face-to-face at the reception.
