Ina-Dani fault system in Central Japan. The 80 m high fault scarplet is covered with dark colured trees in the middle. An excavator is working for trenching at the foot of the scarplet in December, 1995. The reverse fault exposed in the trench ruptured only twice during the Holocene. The offset terrace surface is ca 100 ka. There are small glacial cirques near the ridge.
