Ina-Dani fault system in Central Japan. The 80 m high fault scarplet
is covered with dark colured trees in the middle. An excavator
is working for trenching at the foot of the scarplet in December,
1995. The reverse fault exposed in the trench ruptured only twice
during the Holocene. The offset terrace surface is ca 100 ka.
There are small glacial cirques near the ridge.
