Ms. Momotaz Begum Achieved the 2nd Award for Excellent Master’s Thesis in the TSE Program

On August 10th, 2023, our lab’s member Ms. Momotaz Begum has been honored with the silver prize for her outstanding Master’s Thesis. The recognition comes as a result of her dedicated efforts and remarkable accomplishments in the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering (TSE) Program at the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University.

This achievement serves not only as a validation of her current endeavors but also as a catalyst for the promising journey that lies ahead.

Prof. Tran Dang Xuan: A Japan Top-Ranked Scientist in Plant Science and Agronomy

According to the report of Research.com, Prof. Tran Dang Xuan, the Head of our laboratory, has been recognized as one of Japan’s top 1% outstanding scientists in the discipline of Plant Science and Agronomy (ranked 61st nationwide).

Research.com ranks the contribution of scientists to specific fields based on their discipline H-index (D-index). Notably, Prof. Xuan is the sole representative from Hiroshima University, who brakes into Japan’s top ranking of scientists in Plant Science and Agronomy.

On 23 March 2023, the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University organized a commencement ceremony. This semester, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long has acquired his Master’s diploma.

Mr. Vongdala Noudeng won the prestigious award for excellent students granted by the Graduate School

Mr. Vongdala Noudeng, the second-year Ph.D. student at Xuan Lab, has achieved the excellent student award granted by the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University.

Our presentations at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry (JSBBA) – March 14-17, 2023 (Online)

As a regular member of the JSBBA, the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry has contributed four major studies to the 2023 Annual Meeting of the JSBBA (日本農芸化学会2023年度大会). The workshop was hosted by Hiroshima University (Online).

On February 14, 2023, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long has been awarded the bronze prize for Excellent Master’s Thesis by the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering (TSE) Program, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University.

This honor is entirely merited for the endeavors of Mr. Long throughout his Master’s course.

Xuan Lab got a double excellent student scholarship granted by the Graduate School

We are pleased to announce Mr. Dek Vimean Pheakdey (D3) and Mr. Hasan Mehedi (D2), doctoral students of Xuan Lab, have been awarded the “2022 Hiroshima University Excellent Student Scholarship” by our Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, under the recognition of the President of Hiroshima University.

Xuan laboratory welcomes new members

In the fall semester of 2022, Xuan LAB is pleased to welcome three new students. Mr. Rayee Ramin (Ph.D. course – MEXT Scholarship) from Afghanistan, Mr. Jabbar Muhammad (Master course – JDS Scholarship) from Pakistan, and Nguyen Phuong Mai (Research student – MEXT Scholarship) from Vietnam.

Furthermore, we are delighted to have new members, Dr. La Hoang Anh, Dr. Kifayatullah Kakar, and Mr. Imran Wafa who are engaged in our lab as researchers from this semester.

Let’s try and get more achievements together this semester.
