Research seminar on the development of spatial strategies for small island landscapes in the Philippines (speaker: Dr. Edgar M. Reyes, Jr., the University of the Philippines – Los Banos)

Dr. Edgar kindly introduced his PhD work at Hiroshima University. It was an excellent presentation that clearly showed that some issues are common to both Japan and the Philippines, while others are different.

Planning for small islands has many practical difficulties largely because of the need to integrate the will of the larger planning entity with the will of the local community.
