Mr. Rayee Ramin achieved the 2023 Hiroshima University Excellent Student Scholarship

Our lab is pleased to announce that Mr. Rayee Ramin, a first-year doctoral student at our lab, has been granted the “2023 Hiroshima University Excellent Student Scholarship” from the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, under the recognition of the President of Hiroshima University.

This scholarship acknowledges the outstanding grades and research achievements of the student. The recognition is a testament to Mr. Ramin’s unwavering effort and dedication.

Dr. NGUYEN VAN QUAN has been honored with the prestigious Phoenix Outstanding Researcher Award by Hiroshima University

Our lab is delighted to announce that Dr. NGUYEN VAN QUAN received the Phoenix Outstanding Researcher Award granted by the President of Hiroshima University in 2023. The award is bestowed upon exceptional young researchers, recognizing their significant contributions to the university’s scientific accomplishments.

Dr. NGUYEN VAN QUAN worked as Assistant Professor in our lab from April 2020 to March 2023 and is currently a Researcher in the lab. Through his dedication and unwavering efforts, Dr. NGUYEN VAN QUAN has been highly regarded for his works and research activities, as evidenced by publications in SCI journals and the guidance of graduate students at Hiroshima University.

Dr. NGUYEN VAN QUAN is the second member in our lab to receive this prestigious award after Prof. TRAN DANG XUAN (Head of the lab), who was honored for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018.

Commencement Ceremony and Farewell Meeting – September 2023

On September 20, 2023, the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University held a commencement ceremony. This time, one Ph.D. and three Master students from Xuan Lab received their diplomas. We are delighted to congratulate them on their outstanding achievements.

Xuan Lab extended congratulations to Mr. Pheakdey, Mr. Abbasi, Mr. Azeem, and Ms. Momotaz for their graduation at the Mirai Crea Center.

Ms. Momotaz Begum Achieved the 2nd Award for Excellent Master’s Thesis in the TSE Program

On August 10th, 2023, our lab’s member Ms. Momotaz Begum has been honored with the silver prize for her outstanding Master’s Thesis. The recognition comes as a result of her dedicated efforts and remarkable accomplishments in the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering (TSE) Program at the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University.

This achievement serves not only as a validation of her current endeavors but also as a catalyst for the promising journey that lies ahead.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Momotaz Begum for this remarkable accomplishment and wish her every success in her future pursuits.

Prof. Tran Dang Xuan: A Japan Top-Ranked Scientist in Plant Science and Agronomy

According to the report of Research.com, Prof. Tran Dang Xuan, the Head of our laboratory, has been recognized as one of Japan’s top 1% outstanding scientists in the discipline of Plant Science and Agronomy (ranked 61st nationwide).

Research.com ranks the contribution of scientists to specific fields based on their discipline H-index (D-index). Notably, Prof. Xuan is the sole representative from Hiroshima University, who brakes into Japan’s top ranking of scientists in Plant Science and Agronomy.

Commencement Ceremony – March 2023

On 23 March 2023, the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University organized a commencement ceremony. This semester, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long has acquired his Master’s diploma.

Our presentations at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry (JSBBA) – March 14-17, 2023 (Online)

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long won the 3rd Award for Excellent Master’s Thesis in the TSE Program

On February 14, 2023, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long has been awarded the bronze prize for Excellent Master’s Thesis by the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering (TSE) Program, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University.
