Three students successfully made the poster presentation for the interim evaluation under the SmaSo program. Morhaf Aljber, Muon Ratheany, and Seiha Khan.
About 30 students and two professors from Kyungil University in South Korea visited the CHESS lab and Hiroshima University. They introduced their up-to-date research activities on disaster prevention and countermeasures using sensing technology and AI.

Six presentations were made at the 3rd IBC at DOrSU, the Philippines.
Two presentations were made at the International Conference on Coastal Engineering 2024 in Rome, Italy. One oral presentation by Dr Jeong jae-Soon and one poster presentation by Dr Jonathan Cabrera.
